NEJAF MUHARRAM ANNOUNCEMENT 1448/2026
Assallamo Alaikum Azadar ul Hussain (ع),
AL QURAN
إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَنصُرُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ ۗ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
“If Allah helps you, no one can overcome you; but if He forsakes you, who can help you after Him? So in Allah let the believers put their trust.”
Surah Al‑Imran (3:160)

On 3rd Muharram, the forces of Yazid under ‘Umar ibn Sa‘d reached Karbala, confronting Imam Husayn’s small caravan with overwhelming might—marking a decisive escalation toward the inevitable stand.
That same day, Imam Husayn (a.s.) sent Qays ibn Mashar’s letter to the elders of Kufa—continuing his patient outreach even as the shadow of battle loomed over the plains of Karbala.
